Alrighty diety

Today was the earth hour movement thingy

and i've participated

YEAH!

It's a great feeling to feel that we are making a difference here

although it's only 1 hour..

but still..

it's the thought that counts

It is my second year participating in this movement

and, well, i'll participate for the rest of my life..

in fact, when i grow bigger and have a house of my own,

i'll switch off my lights for 1 and a half hour instead of 1 hr

hehe :D

i currently obsessed with the idea..

i don't know why

i guess, you can say that i love the idea that the whole world is making an effort to safe Gaia

ok. I just came back from school.
The first half of today is alright.
Nothing much really happened.
Until after my break..
Sir was about to say out the results for autocad..
deep in my heart, i was praying..
praying for an A..or at least a B..
but at the end..

A FREAKING C!!
Like, what the bloody hell la!!

I feel sooo sucky right now..
I didn't want to cry in class....sick and tired of crying really..

Because, there're action,adventure, mystery,comedy all in a movie!
What more can you ask for?
And of course, the plot is great!
I mean, the man is a genius!
Every single details, he takes into account!
And MAN!
MAN CAN HE FIGHT!
He'll like, strategize every single move he'll be making..
yes, you heard me right, he plans on the spot!
And then, flawlessly, he'll make his move.
A one two punch, he hit his opponent's neck, punch his rib, another one two punch, then he gives his final finish!

ok. So i had my coming of age ceremony this morning!
I woke up at 4.50 am today!!

My mom was very excited!

and the make-up woman came and tied for me Gujarati style...

anyway, i tied a blue saree..
which you'll see later on..
hehe and after the whole function, i had to change my saree into another saree..

and from 8.30-(about 1.30), i was trying to walk...
So, i didn't walk properly from 8.30-1.30

Anyway, my relatives came and did the necessary things, and by the time you know it, 2 hours went by..
Ya.. i felt soo weird, so i told my mom if i could change into my traditional costume, and LUCKLY, she said yes!
hahass very hard to sit, very hard to walk..
but, i have to admit it, i do love the colour.

ok anyways, so Dashani, being the coolest girl she is, stayed up to 5 pm !!!

I didn't cry though, but i stopped whatever i was doing, and my eyes were 'glued' to the tv! Salman Khan, Preity Zinta and Akshay Kumar!
NICE!
I felt bad for Akshay's character.
He's an astronaut but he can't impress/ make preity's character happy.
He's a good man.
Simple things like, choosing a bag or talking to her (having a nice conversation la..haha) ,
he found difficulties in.
But in a way, he's innocent.
Maybe too innocent.
So Salman will help him out throughout his days with preity's character.
But when Salman wants to change his ways for his daughter, he fell in love with preity again.
He misunderstood the divorce( he and preity are divorced, they had a daughter,
Salman didn't know because he went overseas ) ..
Towards the end, i find it sad for Akshay.
I mean, how would you feel when your friend you trusted the most, made your dreams come true, made you happy, and then suddenly, on your engagement celebration day, he shows up and through his actions, made you feel used, backstabbed and a loser, infront of everyone. Sooooo sad.
Salman's character,towards the end, i felt bad for him..but mostly for Akshay's character.

I am sick and tired of my life.
i mean, i don't see the reason for living.
my life has no meaning anymore.
my life is just about my future career.
there're no more sparks, no more excitement.
i'm a dull and a pathetically boring person.
no one likes to be with me/hang out with me because i'm soo damn bloody boring.

One week flew so quickly.
Or rather, 3 weeks flew so quickly.
Got to go back to school tomorrow.
Mixed feelings.
I mean, I miss school but I want to sleep until 11!!

Ok.
This is going to be a short post because of the common test week.
So about the common tests.
Well, Firstly, Maths was easy.
Hoping to do very well for maths.
God knows how hard I studied for maths. ( very very very HARD!!)
My own parents don't know how hard I studied for Maths. O.o
Next, EEP.
GOSH!!
MAN!
Horrible with a capital H!!
Hope I did well though.
Studied like there's no tomorrow. O.O.
Ok, Metrology was easier than EEP.
I was and still am very very glad that I followed my time-table.
I started revising for metrology since the holidays started, 10 pages at a time.
So, I'm kind of satisfied with the paper.
I guess.
I revised 3-4 times!!!
I know, I'm still shock!
hahassss :D
Let's see if it's worth all the effort! O.o
So from friday, I was doing projects and watching movies.
I think i deserve it.
So I watched Dracula (2 times) and harry potter.
Hehe. :)

Okay!! Finally I've decided to blog.
Didn't blog for 2 weeks so I'm sorry for that!!
Just been very very very busy for the past 2 weeks, studying, studying and studying. GOSH I'm EXHASTED!!!
I need a break.
But unfortunately got 2 projects to do.
So.. Planning to sleep late on monday(today), tuesday,and wednesday.
Thursday I better sleep early for friday's common test.
[Or else Jug of coffee like today... lol ]
Okay, since I didn't blog for 2 weeks, I shall try to remember, to my very best, what happened.

2 weeks ago.

Okay.
This I remember very well.
The whole week I was studying Metrology.
In fact, I've been studying metrology since the first week of the holidays.
I was studying like, 10 pages each day.
I know myself.
If I study any little, I won't complete all 5 chapters
and if I study 20 pages per day, I would not be able to remember them.
So 10 pages per day.
1 chapter every 3 days.
Didn't go anywhere..
Was 'hibernating' at home. LOL
(I know what you're thinking, this girl is study crazy. But in this world, we need to lose something to gain something right?]
So far so good.
Completed chapter 3, 4 and 5 already. :D

1 week ago( last week)

The worst week of my life!!!!!
Heucampus week.
So was trying to understand what the teachers were teaching.
I must say, I don't find it very effective at all.
[Just my opinion, don't need to start a war now.. ]
I mean, for each subject, I think I've understood 10% of the lesson.
Oh, wells.
On monday and tuesday, I'd completed chapter 1 for metrology.
So many definitions!!!
X.x.
But I survived.
*pat at the back*.
Then on Wednesday, thursday, friday, saturday and yesterday, I revised for EEP and Maths.
Maths I revised on Saturday. :D
YEAH!
On wednesday, thursday, friday, and sunday, I revised EEP.
Same method.
Wednesday: Chapter 1 and 2[ because they're easy]
thursday:chapter 3 and the tutorial 3 worksheet.
Friday: Chapter 4 and the tutorial 4 worksheet.
Sunday: Revision of all chapters. :D

However, I thought the test was ok.
The MCQ, 5 questions I didn't know how to do.
[so in fact, it's not ok!!! O.O]
So after this, I'll be checking the paper again and research on the 2 projects.
Busy busy busy busy busy busy busy busy....

Man, I thought all hope was lost until on Friday.

I thought I was going to be in deep trouble when Andy sms me saying that
I had to re-do my communication skills e-assessment because I didn't get 15/20
[ i got 14/20 instead O.o] .
And I had to do my maths.
I wanted to do it on my PC, but my father and brother had some serious things that they had to do, and they needed the PC.
So THANK GOODNESS FOR SHANNON!!

I prayed 3 times for the Common test!!
Hoping that I would do well.
Now, there's nothing I could do but to wait for the results.

Now, today.
Maths= Easy peesy lemon squeezy.
EEP= Whoa Mama!! But not too bad. MCQ was Oh my goodness!!
But I hope that I did well!
Studied like there's no tomorrow. X.X

But like what someone told me, we should not live life complaining.

And I totally agree.
If it was meant to be, it's meant to be.
The future is not ours to see.
If we live life complaining, life won't be enjoyable.
You won't live life to the fullest.
At least that's what I believe..

Just my feelings I guess..

Okay. It has already been 4 days since the death of Michael Jackson.
I'm starting to get used to it but when I saw this video,
I felt so angry (at the media) but at the same time, sad for him.
He sacrificed his childhood and his life for our entertainment and
yet there are people out there who are treating him like garbage!
It is sad fact to realise that the media, the very people who made him such an iconic legend,
had destroyed him in despicable ways. :(
It is a sad fact that there are still people who can be so heartless and cruel towards people
who are just doing their job, as an artiste for example.
Ok, I get it, it is human to be jealous.
But there is a limit to it.
Not to the extent where you go around and make people's life a living hell.
His gentleness and humbleness has inspired me.
His death is a HUGE lost;
but at least he can finally Rest In Peace.

It's a sad sad day today.

Today is a sad day for not only me, but for everyone who loves this Legendary icon.
The King of Pop, the one and only, Michael Jackson has passed away. :(
There is definitely sadness in my family.
Especially my parents [ my mom in particular, She is a big fan of him] as they grew up listening to his music.

I am still very shock that he is no longer with us.
I cannot believe. CANNOT believe it.
I mean, he is sooo young.
I cannot believe it.
There is a part of me who doesn't want to believe it but we can't run away from this devastating fact.
Although I'm not his biggest fan, I LOVE his music; and MAN!!! CAN HE DANCE!!

I remember this morning.
When my mom said that Michael Jackson has passed away.
I woke up in disbelief.
I was very very shocked!!
Cannot believe it!

BUT

Let us not be sad by this tragedy.
Let us celebrate him, his music, and his life!!!
He gave us....
Thriller, Billie Jean, beat it, bad, black or white, don't stop till you get enough and of course the MOONWALK! :D
He had a generous nature, a kind heart.
He is such a wonderful human being!
He is a legend!
Like Elvis, no one can be him.
Now he is in a much much more better place, smiling down at his fans! :D

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!! :)

Okay today's father's day.
But, unfortunately my father went to work so can't really spent father's day. :(
Today, decided to take a break as I have been studying since last sunday without 1 day break.. so today's the day!!!
Today is FRIENDS and oreos day, as in the series FRIENDS, you know, Monica,Ross,Chandler,Phoebe, Rachael and Joey...
YEAH!! :D
Gosh, seriously, sacrifices have been made.
Example, miss the chance of going to underwater world!!
Never been there before so I made that HUGH sacrifice for my studies!!
Gosh!!
When my family came back home from underwater world, seriously!!
Talk about bragging.
how much fun they had and alot of "Shalini you should have come with us!
We took picture of the seal... blah blah blah".
The last thing I wanted on that day was regret and BOY do they know how to make me feel that!!
Geez! I was like,
"It's ok Shalini, at least I completed chapter 3 of Metrology!! It's ok, it's ok, Don't listen to them"...
And they can't stop talking about it for 2 days!! GEEZ..

Anyway, completed chapter 4 of Metrology yesterday.
And next 4 days will be focusing on Chapter 5!! :D
According to plan!
Hahas..
There won't be any tests on Computer programming so GOOD!!
Can spend more time on electronics.
Planning to finish Metrology revision of Chapter 5 on thursday.
So on friday, saturday and Sunday can revise for Electronics and abit of Maths.
Main priority is Electronics on these 3 days :D

Then on Monday,tuesday,wednesday,thursday, revise on chapter 1 and 2 which I already revised some time ago.
Just hope I can remember the definitions though!

Ok, what else, umm, Oh yeah!
Still have to find out about the wringing thingy in metrology chapter 3.
I mean the "Why is it the less the merrier thingy".. O.o. SERIOUSLY! Gosh!

ok, this blog is for last week..
totally forgotten to blog last week because I was sooo busy with school and soooo tired to blog.
ok let's see what happened last week.
OH! how can i forget...
Computer programming test was horrible!!!
Horrible with a capital H!!!
I studied soooooo hard and as i was doing the test, the writing a program part, my computer was not cooperating with me..
And the find the minimum part of the question, I was stuck.. T.T
I was hoping to get an A for the test, but now I'm having second thoughts...
But a test is a test.
I don't care if I get a C for it!![well actually i do care...] but anyways..
I'm going to work my butt off of Computer programming.
No matter what, I'm going to achieve my dream goal!!
I cannot disappoint myself again.

My father advised me to ask questions until the teacher is 'afraid' of me..
until the teacher would have to teach properly so that i will not ask questions...

By-the-way, I've decided not to watch Angels & Demons, although God knows how much I really really really want to watch it :(

Just finish watching 'The Tonight show with Jay Leno'. :)
It's his finale tonight show before Conan O'Brien takes over.
I'm really going to miss the show.
Not that Conan is bad or anything, he's good.
But Jay has the spark that, I think Conan doesn't have. I don't know.
Sure going to miss the show.
Just wouldn't be the same without Jay.
Oh and not to mention Kevin, John and Ross the intern!! *sigh*.
The bright side is that he won't be gone forever.
He's going to be on a new show called 'The jay Leno show'.

Okay decided to blog today cause.... cause feel like blogging lah. :)
I'm feeling kind of jealous of my brothers!

Because both of them are having their holidays now!! Garrr!
Well on the bright side, at least I won't have to be bored for the whole month!!

Planning to complete powerpoint for chopsticks, revise computer programming and electricity by today!! :)

So far my studying methods seem to work.
So I'm going to continue to use them.

Okay this post is for personal development so..... going to be quite formal..

Did revision today and yesterday.

Study Chapter 2 of electronics and electrical principles.

Okay, I decided to change the way I study right?

So, for electronics I am trying something very familiar to what I seldom did in Secondary 4, and I am going to use it to help solve my problem which I blogged in my previous post, which was the difference in teaching methods by two teachers.

Want to know the method? Want to know? Want to know????

Okay, going to be very weird, so here goes!

I'm using Youtube to learn Electronics. :)

Wait a minute, that's not weird... Hahas:)

I mean, I have my reasons.

(1): I can find a better teacher( no offence to Mr Chan & Ms Zheng! You guys are still Awesome! :)) to teach the same topic in the way that is most preferred by me! :)

(2): They give more examples for me to practice! :)

(3): Most importantly, TAUGHT BY 1 TEACHER, USING THE SAME METHOD!!!! :)

(4): Because taught by 1 teacher, I won't get confused.

(5): Don't understand, I can rewind it back to the start!! HaHas:)

So there you go, all 5 good reasons for using this method of learning that will, hopefully, help me in my studies!! :)

Okay, I know, I don't seem to be doing much, but in fact, I'm doing alot!

GOAL/Strategy to succeed Yeah!!

(1): I planned a time-table for every month and am planning it week by week so that there would not be a need for changes! :)

(2): For Maths: Planning to do what I did for O levels in Secondary3-4, complete the whole book 2 times!!!!! O.O

(3) For Electronics: Youtube method, research, read lecture notes every week 1 chapter, and of course, do homework!! :)

(4) For Computer Programming: Borrow books on Computer programming, practice, read Lecture notes from the beginning of the chapter till the end, (1 chapter,1 week).

(5) For Metrology: rewrite notes on my notebook. Revise (1/2 to 1 chapter a week, depending on how big the chapters are)!

Oh!!! There are only 5 subjects to study?! Okay? Silly me, I'm very slow!! :)

Okay, going to study maths now!! :) See ya! :)

Okay this is going to be a angry post today! Just need to release all my anger and I'll be happy again!!

Okay so here goes.

Firstly, school sucked!

Had metrology test today!

Studied soooo damn freaking hard for 1 week... then in the end, got 5/10!!

A miserable 5/10! So freaking pissed.

I was sooooo close to crying! Literally wanted to cry sooo badly!

It's not because of the marks, it's because for that few moments, it reminded me of O'levels results day!

Those who know me best will understand why.

The only reason why I didn't cry is because the mark is not counted!

I just can't stand failure!

Especially when i know that I shouldn't be 'failing'...

Secondly, Computer programming teacher was teaching sooooooo fast no time to take notes!

Okay, gotta go by the schedule, I get that.

But what's the point of going buy the schedule where all you do is talk talk talk and no one understands(maybe it's just me X.X).

Garrrr!!!!!

Then for electronics, the teacher was teaching methods that was TOTALLY different from our lecturer!!

Last 10 mins wanted to ask question on how to get the ans. for Q21, he ignored.

Maybe i didn't called louder or maybe ran out of time, who knows?

But I just hate it when teachers say

" Please ask questions. i like it when you all ask questions. That's good!"

but at the end of the day, they don't give a shit about you! (sorry for my language, it is an angry post after all!)

Same thing happened in secondary school.

They( some teachers) would just ignore me! WTH!!

Sometimes i wonder why am i even asking them questions.

Don't want to teach, don't teach la. GET A NEW JOB!

"Please ask questions. I like that." my ass!

But some teachers are true angels! They would sacrifice their time for you.

God bless them!

But others (tamil teacher. Those who know me will know who), go to hell and rot! ( sorry for my

language again! :) )

Anyways, school ended at 4 today. Had to rush to the temple with my family! ( Mom told me that some things, only God can help. Daddy advices me to pray to God so that I'll be spiritually, mentally and emotionally at peace... (: )

Did prayers and reached home at 9.30 p.m!! Such a tiring day man! :))

Oh ya and did maths just now! Don't know why, but i think i'm getting addicted to studying maths!!!

Wanted to watch X-men origins today but I'm soooooooo broke!

Well actually not sooo broke but the money that I'm saving is for the DVD( the fountain) that I'm planning to buy.

Garrr, got money but don't feel like spending! What's this man!!

So what is Shalini going to do in Labour day?? HOMEWORK!! Yes you heard me right, HOMEWORK!

What's the point of having labour day then?? X.X.

I want to watch X-men origins sooooooo badly!! Oh well, perhaps some other time.

I've already seen X-men (1,2,3). THEY SO ROCK!

I going to save my money and buy X-Men 3 DVD to add to my collection of X-men DVDs..
